Confessions of a Shopaholic

Well, I'm no Becky Bloomwood, but I thought I'd share a few of my recent purchases with you!

I'm an event planner at my day job and we are working on an outdoor reception in June. It is a preview reception for our scholarship gala that will take place this fall. The June reception will have a sort of French Countryside theme. We'll be giving small swag bags to the guests. One item that we're including is a hand-poured lavender-scented candle from Candu Candles. It will have a custom "save the date" label on the top. Now, I'll confess that I have a family interest in these candles, as they're made by my sister-in-law, but the fragrances from her candles are AMAZING! The fudge brownie one smells so good that you'd want to eat it! The prices are totally reasonable, and she has some great ideas for wedding favors.

Another item that we're including is a bar of French-milled bath soap. These lovely bath soaps are from Basic French. I'm so excited about this little addition, and they're only $3 each! What a bargain! Mother's Day is Sunday, and being a mother, you'd think that I'd be looking forward to this. Unfortunately, I'm not. I have to work both Saturday and Sunday. So I bought myself this lovely little trinket. It came SO quickly, and Nina does beautiful work. I have Sweet Son #1 and Sweet Baby Son's names, as well as a little sunshine charm on mine.

Speaking of Mother's Day, I took advantage of Miss Chloe's "free shipping" sale! I ordered cards with the "Hilary" monogram for my friend Heather,
and these sweet bird cards for my Grandma!
Happy Shopping!

Cheers!
