The Hand of God

Anyone who's perused my sidebar links may have come across New Life for Haiti. This is a mission outreach in which my church participates.

Tonight, we had our 2nd Annual Fundraising Dinner. This was the first year for a silent auction, and I was in charge of organizing it. My initial goal was to secure 20 items and net $2000 for this part of the fundraiser.

All I can say is that God's grace is overwhelming. My team and other church members managed to come up with FORTY SIX (so amazing it had to be in WORDS) items. Final totals are still coming in, but they are similarly overwhelming.

Don't know if you're religious, but I just have to say that this was indeed the hand of God at work tonight. More later, I'm sure, but I'm still on that "event rush". Blessings rained down for Haiti tonight.

Congratulations on your success... I know the feeling of "helping out" and I agree.. that rush is unbeatable. Warms my heart.
