The Simple Woman's Daybook--July 1st (Better Late Than Never!)

FOR TODAY

Outside my Window...An absolutely gorgeous summer day, blue skies and comfortable temperature (79!) with low humidity. Unusual for the Windy City in July!

I am thinking...of how I can break down my enormous list of household tasks into a more manageable list.

I am thankful for...The never-wavering love of God in my life.

From the kitchen...A vow to reinstate my green smoothie morning routine!

I am creating...My last-minute creation for the "I Remember Laura" Art Swap. Gotta get it in the mail tomorrow! :)

I am going...to pick up some screws and washers at the hardware store after work.

I am wearing...chocolate brown trousers and a lime/chocolate summer blouse.

I am reading...finishing "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert.

I am hoping...to complete my aforementioned art project and finish cleaning the bathroom tonight.

I am hearing..."Breathe" by Michael W. Smith

Around the house...so much to do and so little time! I REALLY want to organize my closet this week.

One of my favorite things...A tall glass of ice-cold milk.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...Change the sheets in the guest room as Grandma and Grandpa Diva are coming to spend the Fourth. We're headed into the city for the Taste of Chicago! The last time I was there, I ate goat and alligator...

No pics this week. My goal for this month is to have my camera always at the ready. Hopefully a pic from the Taste next week!

Go see Peggy for some more Daybooks!

Hi, there!

Thanks SO much for the great comment! I am really glad to be back. I needed the break, but in the overall view of things, there's no way that other people (even family) are going to hold me back from doing God's work.

I appreciate your support!!!

Hugs,
~Maria

I love Michael W. Smith's music! What's a green smoothie?

My husband would love to try goat and alligator! He's always up for something he's never eaten before. I, on the other hand, am conservative and traditional LOL!
