Five Hundred (and a Giveaway!)

Hard to believe, but yesterday marked my five hundredth post! I guess that's what happens when you decide to post every day and forget to keep track of just how many posts you've done in total! I thought 300 was a milestone and now 500 has come and gone!

If you read yesterday's post, I introduced you to my creative friend Michelle. Well, she has graciously agreed to help me celebrate this momentous anniversary of 500 posts with a wonderful giveaway! If you looked at the video (which I know you all did!), then you saw the fabulous acrylic stamps and positioning block that Close to My Heart now has. I know a lot of you out there in the blogosphere are crafty and creative and would do beautiful things with something like this.

Here's the scoop. Michelle has agreed to give away a set of stamps with a block to position your images just right! This is a $30 value! If you already love stamping or wanted to try it, this would be a great way to check out the CTMH products.

So how to enter? Leave a comment on this post for one entry. Still want another? Post a link to this contest on your own blog and come back to let me know! Still another entry? Link to Michelle's video on your Facebook or Twitter account and leave another comment telling me you did! What? You want another way to win? Head over to Michelle's creative blog "Inks Outside the Box" and leave her comment love! Make sure you come back here and let me know that you did!

That's FOUR chances to win this fabulous little stamp set! I'll give you until 9 pm (Central Time, interpeeps) on Thursday, 2/4/10 to enter, then on Friday, the 505th post on my blog will announce the winner! Be sure to leave your email so I can connect you with Michelle to arrange shipping! :)

Toot Your Own Horn

OK, I give up. I've been trying for nearly an hour to get this button to post, and it simply won't. Not only that, but it makes my text go all wonky when I switch between HTML and Compose mode. I'm going to blame it on Blogger.

So you'll just have to imagine that there is a lovely little black and plum colored button here.

Auds from Barking Mad may just be that. She's giving away a $250 Target Gift Card.

Yep, you read that right. TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS. And all you have to do is create a blog post featuring some of your own favorite posts! Well, and post the button, but we all see how successful THAT attempt was.

So here goes.

Family Recipes

I Am

Caucus Schmaucus

Growth Spurt

Separated at Birth?

Male Pattern Blindness

Hope you enjoy my faves, and don't forget to visit Auds at Barking Mad!

Photo Finish!

Well, I'm back in the land of the living, finally! You know how when you're sick and you really just want your mom, but then you remember that you ARE the mom?

Yeah.

Anyway, my mom called me yesterday to ask if I'd watched Oprah while I was home DYING. Well, not dying, maybe, but feeling really icky. The answer was no, since I was sleeping (for four blissful hours, uninterrupted by children, husband, or dog).

Apparently they were discussing de-cluttering. Which, as an aside, I need to do DESPERATELY, but surprisingly enough, that's not really why Mom called.

If you are like I, and LOVE to take pictures, but suffer from a severe case of digitalphotograveyarditis (where your photos reside for perpetuity on your computer or worse yet, in your camera), then this offer is for you!

Go now to Oprah's site and get your FREE (well, $6.99 shipping and handling) 20 Page Snapfish Custom Photo Book. This is a-freaking-mazing. It's a $30 value and you can create a hardcover photo album. Even if you're like my friend Heather, who claims her creativity stops at her wrist (love ya chica!), you can make a fabulous keepsake.

There is a catch. You have to be quick. You only have until tomorrow sometime (it was 48 hours from when the show ran, which was Wednesday) to claim it, and must redeem it by November 16th. You also have to create or have a Snapfish account, but that's free (and a great way to print those digital photos, btw!).

I created mine last night and will probably do a second, which isn't free, but because I already got one free, it's still a good buy at $30 plus shipping. It would make a great Christmas gift for those of you doing Christmas on a budget!

Oh, and if you're actually DOING the de-cluttering now, she's also got an offer for 20% off of your Container Store purchase HERE. It's good for in-store, online and phone purchases! I *heart* The Container Store, but they're not exactly fruGAL friendly, so this 20% coupon could be a great bonus!
